how do u get money?...im new to this. and ive seen things to buy, but no ways to get money... answers?

There are lots of ways to get money, if you have a premium account you automatically get L$400 a week, you could buy L$ from Lindex with USD or you could try to get a job inside second life.

You could learn to build, or script, or texture, and offer to do it for someone else.

You get money the old fashion way, you buy it.

The LindeX is a great tool. I find that the cost of lunch and a movie (about $20) makes for lots of fun in Second LIfe (about L$5500). I definately reccomend it. Eventually, using the building tools in SL, you can make your own products and actually make L$ in SL.

I rent out land to others, teach classes on how to make things and sell things I make in my store.

There are MANY ways to make Linden $

Camp Masters, Camp Chairs, Dance Pads Search for them by clicking "search" then "places" and entering each of the different ways until you find one you like. Generally these pay 3-4 Linden $ every 10 minutes.

Creating Items Search for Ivory Tower and check it out, it's packed full of tutorials on how to create stuff. Once you're happy you can make items yourself, search for a sandbox (Enter "Sandbox" into search places like above) Once you have made an item, you'll want to sell it. Try asking your friends if they're interested or opening a store (checkout some malls for rent space-costs L$)

Buying with USD You can buy Linden $ with US$. The general rate is around 300 Linden $ for each US$ you want to spend plus $0.30 per transaction. Checkout the LindeX or Third-Party providers for more information, Here

And, before everyone shouts at me, I'm aware that there are MANY other opportunities, including renting land out, etc. But most would not suit you at this moment in time.

To rent out land, you need to own it. To own it, you need both a premium account and Linden $ to buy it. If you own a lot of land, it also costs a certain amount of US$ on top of your premium account per month.

Until you're a Rich and Experienced user of SecondLife, I would not recommend going anywhere near that part of business

Is any one working on an alternative to Paypal & CC for people to get $L?

Other than buying at expensive rates on Ebay, that is.

What other methods of payment would you like to see?

Support of debit cards (e.g. Solo, Maestro - major debit cards in Europe). Sure beats PayPal, which is super slow

I know the others, but what are camp masters? a search before the grid closed for work turned up one and I didn't quite get what I was seeing...

Film: As far as I know, SL supports Maestro (i.e. switch / solo cards) through Paypal. Because of that, I doubt they're about to start taking them directly instead.

I know there's some delays for SL->Paypal->RL withdrawls, but I've not heard of any super-long delay issues in paying in through Paypal (unless someone would like to correct me - I pay in directly by credit card).

correction they think they do but because they use that billing agreement thing (which is not supported in europe) they dont work

A Camp Master is similar to camping chairs, only you can move around the lot while using them.

Simply click the "login" button on the campmaster and while you're wandering around the lot, you'll accume money from it. When you leave, cash out and the cash is yours
