Where is the best place for consumers to buy their L$?

I prefer Lindex now, they already have my info and delivery is instant. I did use IGE before and never had a problem with them.

Getting it from Linden Labs is not good enough. The time it takes to recieve the money is not worth the amount of money I could make by having it instantly. I don't mind that the premium account makes me money instead of losing money, but it doesn't seem worth the farming.

it's not good for a huge purchase like land. but for people who buy L$ regularly for their shopping sprees or rentals, it's a wonderful 30% discount worth exploiting.

I don't think there needs to be that option really, seeing as its a poll about where to buy the best lindens, one would assume if you reply and answer the poll, you do actually buy lindens. If you don't thre is no need to reply or answer the poll.

I still will buy Lindex, I refuse to buy from a particular person who likes to try to de-value people by calling them 'tourists'...

Well that's another reason as well as what I stated, but technically she could sell a million $L for $1.00 US and I still wouldn't buy from her lol

the lindex is indeed the Linden Lab operated currency exchange. the sellers of the L$ on this exchange are not LL but other players. LL does not sell the currency on the exchange, it only facilitates trades and takes a fee for this service.

buying L$ from LL is done by opening a premium account. any given account can purchase up to 2000 L$/month for as little as 6 USD per month (by purchasing an annual account).

Are you talking about the stipend as a "purchase" here? That's an odd way of looking at it.

i don't understand why you would consider it odd. let see the billing model:

if you pay for a premium account, LL gives you L$ in exchange. i do not consider it odd calling and exchange of legal tender for virtual currency a purchase.

To me "buying lindens" implies that you can just go out and do it any day you need to. Not a trickle of 500L a week, but 'I want to buy the new Dominus, what's the best place to get another 3 grand'.

I used IGE today, I was a little bewildered that required telephone confirmation that I was in fact the person who wanted to buy L$5,000, to be honest I would have expected them to quite happily give me it since I was buying rather than selling. It was like going through my PayPal verification (to become a "verified" PayPal account, better for selling things on eBay etc.). If it's a one time thing then I will be happy, as the live help was quick and useful, and the phone agent was friendly enough.

Currently IGE seems to have the better price as well, but it can change that rapidly I'll probably be wrong in a few hours time!

How does the LindeX work as far as payment goes when selling linden? I always used IGE...but they are begining to slack a bit. Very slow now in picking up after I waited over an hour for them...

I haven't sold linden to LindeX because I have no idea how it works. Can anyone give me a clue? thanks

I have one experience selling Linden on the Lindex, and it very smoothly. I put in how much I wanted to sell ($12,000L), there is a graph showing you the amount for sale at current prices (at that time, it was 260L/$1). I chose to put my sale in at 261L/$1. It sold by the end of the day and my Linden account was credited with the US$ minus the commission. This was perfect for me, because I am using the US$ to pay for my premium account and tier.
