A plea from a very small consumer of SL land:

Brokers and agents, please be truthful in your land ads. Countless times I've gone to inspect a "waterfront" or "telehub" parcel where the telehub was 2-3 sims over or the "waterfront" meant that there happened to be water somewhere in the sim, or even better that the seller had used the terraforming tool to lower the land until a small puddle appeared in the center of the lot. Another favorite is "flat" or "flattish" land that it is at a 60 degree angle to the horizon.

Also, it costs only L$10 to upload a picture. If you are making probably 500 or more on the sale of a lot, you can well afford to put up a current, truthful photo of the lot.

I have lost many hours flying out to land that was grossly misrepresented, and I am sure others have had the same experience. When ads are misleading and lack photos, the message the customer receives is "Your time is of no value." Here's hoping at least some of the land people will voluntarily upgrade their marketing strategies.

I'm just sayin'. =)

By the way, a big thank-you to those of you who already do it this way!

LOL yes I've seen this effort, it's bold, but a hoax, of course.

I never call something "waterfront" unless it is really on a waterfront. I will call it "seaview" however if it can actually see the sea.

I agree that a picture should be put in, and if you have a lot of parcels, use the same aerial shot for the whole batch.

I agree completely. It annoys me to no end when people won't put up a picture of the land.... I've moved several times since I joined, and if there's no photo, I don't even bother looking at the land. It's not worth my time to go all the way there to see if it's something I want. I'm sure I'm not the only one, either... sellers need to realize that adding a good photo will help their land sell. Leaving it off is just lazy, or deceptive, or both. It doesn't encourage people to buy from you.
