Just thinking here..

What if when a prim object was left on your land for more than 24 hours, you could not only return or delete said item, but take as well?

If someone rezzed something they bought from your shop to look at it it wouldn't be affected -unless abandoned for 24 hours there. if soemone left thier nice pretty house on your land, squatting, or one of those intant rez skyboxes.. bam, take it if they leave it up for 24 hours.

It might help put an end to squatting.

I take it you don't build very much, or at least not very small items? :)

I'm grateful when people turn autoreturn on for their parcels because I make small items that have the occasional nasty tendency to go flinging off into space when something strange happens while dragging them. I've had them returned from a sim or two over sometimes.

The squatting problem isn't really an issue at all. If you don't want other's items on your land, turn on autoreturn for one minute.

It might also be an exploit to bypass no-transfer permissions.

Things are fine as they are; if you don't like squatters, use autoreturn, or nobuild.

just a thought:) I tend to be relaxed the first few times, but try to figure out if it will bother this person more if I return them or more if I delete after the first few times.

Funniest moment ever in this regard was when someone dropped a bunch of cd/records on my lot. All were set to buy for 75L but all were playable as is. I sent him an IM thanking him for the free music. Funny how they disappeared. Bad form of selling items anyway.

I've also deleted vehicles left a second or third time, and once gotten an IM 'You deleted my plane! That was no copy!' Too bad I say.. I refuse to reimburse them. And no, I wasn't using a security script to eject people.

The only sure way to ensure a squatter doesnt continue to build in your land, is to find the town they live in, hack into NORAD, and nuke them.

Yeah but that involves hurting their pets :(

Who cares about the fleshbags?
