I'm thinking of renting out some land that I own (not on a private island). I know the regular route is to set the land to a group and add the renter to the Group Memeber as opposed to Group Officer list.
I am wondering though...is it possible to set the land for sale to myself only, for example, make the renter an officer, deed the land to the group, and then leave the group? Is it still possible for the Officers to sell the land to someone else in this case (can they edit the "Sell To" property)?
I ask because I want to give people that rent the land complete control of the land without the risk of loosing the it. Some want to terraform, others want to sub-lease the property, etc. I don't have a problem with either of these activities - just need a risk free way of provding that level of functionality.
I cannot test this on my own since I don't have any alt accounts...perhaps someone here has experience with that.
Thanks...-2fast

Yes they can still sell the land to someone else, but you cant because you left the group and the land is owned by group, not you. From: 2fast4u Nabob I ask because I want to give people that rent the land complete control of the land without the risk of loosing the it.
Not possible on mainlands.

From: Kazanture Aleixandre Not possible on mainlands. I thought as much. I saw an ad by someone that seemed to be doing this, but I suppose their business model is such that loosing the land would not be an issue for them.
