I'm working on my first range of prefabs, and I was wondering about pricing. I've looked at a lot of what is offered inworld and on SL Exchange and I see some people charging high prices, and some people, including some quite well known names, charging relatively little.

I wanted to know what people's experiences have been, if there prices are low and quality is good, and if the volume of their sales increases sufficiently as a result for them to find themselves equally or more viable than if their price was higher? And if you've set your prices high, do you feel fewer but larger sales are paying off?

I'm trying to add value to my homes with scripts and I plan on getting a rez-foo for ease of purchaser's set up. I'm also thinking, as I'm starting out, maybe it's more important just to get a lot of homes out there and being used and seen.

Any thoughts?

edit: Oh, and I'm really struggling to find good scripters, who are mature, reliable and easy to deal with, who don't hand me a buggy script and then disappear from SL after pocketing my money. So if anyone's interested, I am willing to pay decently for scripts. There's free scripts out there, but I don't want to use someone's free script for a commercial product, because I'm not sure what the scripter intended them to be free for.
