I have encountered quite a bit of new people that could of lost their land if I bought it from them at a mistaken price. Most of these people were trying to click the Buy For Group button in About Land after they already owned the land individually. They were trying to sell to the group for L$0-512. Land will not even sit for a matter of minutes at that price before being bought. This is a very dangerous thing for a newbie to have to go through. I won't buy the land off of them, but if someone else does, they may not get the land back.

This is the way you transfer land to a group after you own it: The first step is to click the set button in About Land that is above Deed and below Profile. You can then set the group you want the land to belong to. There are two check boxes that say Allow Deed to Group and Owners Make Contribution with Deed. Check both of these. The Deed button will then light up. Click that and the group will own the land. Realize that all officers in the group will be able to take control of the land at any time, so make sure you trust all officers in this group.

To sell land to a friend for cheap do this: There is another set button under the price. Click this and type in the name of the person you want the land to go to. This can even be yourself if you are trying to do something like buy land from your own group. Hit the Select button, and now when you set the price to L$0 only the person you chose will get the land. If you did things right their name should appear right below the place where you type the price in. Land priced under 1$L/meter can attract people in a matter of seconds at times.

Please protect yourself in the ways described above. Do not leave your land for sale at a low price for even a matter of minutes. It will go faster than you think.

I remember when you bought my second property which I was selling quickly and cheaply because a greater land was suddenly available. You were very kind and courteous and even asked me if I was making a mistake by selling cheaply. I thank you for that precaution; so few buyers do that.

I might point out that one must be an officer in the group to transfer the land to the group, else the steps outlined above do not work.

If you're not an officer and want to deed it to a group..

Click the set button in About Land that is above Deed and below Profile. You can then set the group you want the land to belong to. Get an officer from your group to come to your land and check Allow Deed to Group on the about land menu. Then check Owners Make Contribution with Deed. The Deed button will then light up. Click that and the group will own the land. Realize that all officers in the group will be able to take control of the land at any time, so make sure you trust all officers in this group.

WARNING: If you do this you will no longer own the land, the officers of the group will.
