After a bit of clarity please, the linden posts on economic change are not clear!
Stripend: paid per time you are logged in? linden post seems to imply without giving specifics, how much time do i need to be online in a week to get my 500?
Does the stripend change only affect new sign ups?
I upgraded an account to premium before change announced, if the account is used little and receives less than 500 per week, i would like my $72 refunded, because I have been cheated.
Land: the posts imply taxed heavier if not near neighbours? ridiculous - please explain giving distances in mts and relevant costs.
Land: 'land will be cheaper' from linden post - can you please refund me the money i have spent on my land - otherwise I will consider this change to have frauded me.
Lindens: don’t you realise we have put real dollars into 2ndlife, to build your world for you, which makes you more money as a company and brings more sign ups. To change the terms over tax, land, stripend, when people have signed up and paid a lot of real money (after reading the terms) to be involved is blatant fraud.
I do love this 'game' but it is feeling increasingly mis managed, verging on extortion!
Why do I get the feeling I will end up loosing the hundreds of dollars I have ploughed in?

Good to see people coming to the reality that LL is a milking people with never ending land sales and pouring new linden dollars into the economy to appease the uneducated, at the expenses of every business trying to recoup a few dollars from the land-tier LL is extorting from us. LL isn't in the business of running a Game/Sim/World. They are in the business of selling CPU time on a server. At crazy prices.. 100% CPU Time = $195/mo - $2,340/yr (PuhLez!!!!)

100% CPU Time = $195/mo - $2,340/yr (PuhLez!!!!) Fail to see your point here. Even if what you say is true the cost of the server is considerably less than the same server and bandwidth used on a regular website webserver you would rent for your website. Bandwidth is not cheap even for linden labs. Did you catch the article on the front page stating LL isn't even profitable yet? http://www.redherring.com/Article.aspx?a=16286&hed=Second+Life+Lines+Up+%2411MFrom: someone Second Life is not yet profitable, though Mr. Rosedale said “it is very close.”

Linden Labs is an experiment funded by venture capital. The investor / partners put money up with expectations of very significant returns to compensate for the high risk of such ventures. What makes you all think this is a charity ? Venture capital investments usually drive toward taking a company public or selling it, so the original investors can cash out.
How long do you think LL has before the partners decide to stop funding it if they don't show solid progress in meeting financial expectations. No matter how great you all think it is or how innovative etc. it's not worth a dime if it doesn't turn over a healthy profit for the investors after a reasonable amount of time. The investors are giving up 20% returns in the stock market in hope that this higher risk will pay off well above that.
LL must show solid financial results soon. Look at all the actions taken since hiring the new CEO ( perhaps a move forced by the investors). Every new change has added US$ to the bottom line. Yes even devaluing the L$ is a concerted effort to give fewer real $. This is all bottom line activity. They can print all the L$ they want. We can all yell and scream and they change their tune about what they said or shouldn't have said. The very real fact remains that either they meet whatever financial goals have been set by the investors or the plug is pulled .. literally and figuratively.
This is no game .. this is serious business .. last I looked Linden Labs is not listed as a 501 (3) (c) non-profit.

Well, they just got another $11 million, so it sounds like the investors are liking what they see so far and are willing to give it some more time.
