There's land near mine thats gone unclaimed and today is the 9th day its been that way. Im just curious because when I bought (auction) my land I got an email saying I had 7 days. If I knew it was longer it could have given me longer to sell old land and not have to teir up temporarily.

By the stated policy, auctioned land must be claimed in seven days. Technically, the system of prepping parcels for auctions is entirely manual which means that a Linden has to realize that you haven't claimed your land in due time (they might get an exception report every day; but I doubt it) and take the time to find it inworld and reset it so that it's not for sale to you.
That's the most recent explanation I have.

I just bought some land 2 hrs ago (from this writing) and the system told me that I had 48 hrs. to complete the sale. That could be a minimum, in that if reversion requires LL staff intervention, your mileage can, and prolly shall, vary. |

Nashville From: someone system told me that I had 48 hrs. to complete the sale. that's merely about completing the sale, the upfront purchase price. You have to pay for the land by credit card if it is dollars, or have the Linden dollars in your avatar's account to be debited out. You have to click through the menus visible on this web page on that auction item and get it paid and confirmed. But after the sale is complete, then second comes the issue of tier. That's the maintenance fee. Then you have up to 7 days to put the tier over it to cover it. That means toggling the radio buttons on the "My account" to fit that tier or getting the tier donations into your group. Then you go in-game and right-click on this land which is set to sale to you, and just take it if the tier is there to cover it.

Thank you, Prokofy. That is a really good expanation. It was pretty hard for me to learn all of that this evening. BTW, in an earlier communication between us, you said that you'd talk with me if I got so little as 1024 sqm.
