Did anyone else notice that land in five of the sims (Cecropia, Calleta, Sweetbay, Tuliptree and Euryalus) in the new northern continent are either on auction now or just about to be on auction? However, as of this posting, no telehubs have been placed on the new continent.
Will anybody bid on these properties if no one knows yet where the telehubs will go? I'm very curious to see, though I suspect Lindens will add telehubs before the auctions end.

Yes, I would call it buying a "cat in the bag" LOL. You have to gamble where they are going to put the telehubbies -- just like you do on the old continent, and people can get nasty surprises on that.
But Charlotte Gillepside has power-boat rides for $50 to the new lands if you have trouble flying -- God bless her. FICs are already blasting her for "charging money for the new sims" lol but as you can see, the Lindens had no problem "charging for the new sims" ROFLMAO.

From: someone And how come you can never spell my name? Charon Dispeptic is my heroine. She charges money for boat rides to the new world, like the latter-day Charon at the River Lethe ROFLm I am more than impressed, and jealous *I* didn't get down there with *my* boat. Damn, damn, damn. And you are even braving snipes from feteds who tell everyone *they* never charge for boat rides lol. It was praise, but, I guess you never recognize a compliment if it comes from me.

Dyspeptic is a good potential last name for SL. I believe that Charon ferries the souls of the dead across Acheron, not Lethe. My Greek mythology is a bit rusty, though, so I'm not sure.

The question of where the telehubs will be situated is crucial for prospective bidders. I like to make guesses, and mark them on a map. That allows me to see how close my guess came when the lindens place the telehub. Business analysis is usually dry as dust, but telehub guessing could be a real art.

From: someone Business analysis is usually dry as dust, but telehub guessing could be a real art. This is one of my favorite sports. I couldn't believe my eyes when I picked out some waterfront in Brownlee and bought it from some disgruntled newbies who thought the view had become ruined by this funny urban brownstoned thing that appeared in the bushes overnight LOL. Brownlee is so close to Wixom, that it doesn't seem to make sense to be there. And the speculation about whether Perot or something next to it would go telehubbie was hilarious to watch. All these people priced at 9-10 out there, and some enterprising news wrote BUY ME TELEHUB on their land and then later wrote QUIET AREA FAR FROM TELEHUB for a quick sale. An entire mall/rental villa nation materialized out of the earth with nice builds but then sold out quick when no telehub came to Pero. On a lazy Saturday afternoon, somebody smart enough to buy the ugly-named Skegemog in PG for a song would wake up the next day to find themselves in telehubby country. Somebody's doggy land in Nepessing they couldn't *give* away suddenly looked hot. People stare and stare at the map and triangulate and guess and scratch their heads and try to dope out -- will they go mature? Will they go PG? Will they dogleg over this way? Surely 1000 is too far to fly? One witty Linden even put a comment in the hotline board about how "We have no immediate plans" to put in a telehub out there...when of course they did LOL. Because it then appeared. Just not in Keener where that user wanted it. I love studying telehub ecology. It is the most fascinating thing to see the flora and fauna that come out to feed at the telehub watering hole. Brownlee is an especially fascinating example. I can't wait to see the next installment in the SL story there.
