I guess other people might also have has this problem so here goes...

I own 2560 Square Meters of land of 5x512 blocks, 3 of these are together and the other two are in another part of the same sim.
I have a well setup home rental business an all these blocks. What I want is to buy a single 2560 block and move my rental business together on the 1 block.
My problem is that I am currently on the $15 tier and dont want to go to the higher tier for owning twice the land I would have while waiting to get a decent price selling off my old blocks, since you pay tier on the highest amount of land you own in the billing month :(
My only option seems to be that I may have to shut down my rental business, clear my land and sell off my blocks(which could take weeks or more)then go searching for new land.
Is there some other way of doing this? I really dont want to close my business for such a long time, and people selling some of the land I have seen and liked are not interested in holding the sale for me :(

Any advice for me....thx

Yes, you are correct.. those are your only two options. And really, if your running a rental operation, you should be advising people that you'll be moving soon so they can make other arrangements.

Yes of course, I would give them notice and let then finish current lease.

You might ask around if someone has some spare tier they could "rent" you. I can't find 2560 sqm, but someone might have that much spare tier (I've got about half that amount for example).

They'd probably charge you a bit, but probably not at the full whack if they've got it spare. If you've got a friend with some spare tier, you're even better off, they might loan it to you free. I was happy, before other things changed, to "give" my partner 10k sqm of group tier for a couple of months whilst she sorted things out - I'd paid, wasn't using it and so why not?

Alot depends on your being willing to take something of a loss on the land. Twice when our family moved (we are talking about half a sim of land at that time) we were able to sell our land immediately to a land dealer (at some loss) and buy new land the next day. We were back up and running with all 7 businesses in 2-3 days total.

I realise this is not ideal but it is an option to consider.

Temporary land group?

You may also consider setting up a temporary land group if you know several people who a) have available tier, and b) you trust! They can commit their available tier to the group, and because it is a group, you get a 10% allowance over your regular tier based on the land committed to the group - that means you really only need to find people with a total of 2328 sm available to meet your requirement of 2560 sm. You could use this group to buy your new parcel, while at the same time listing your existing parcel(s) in your own name. Be aware that any proceeds from the sale of group land are distributed to all the members of the group equally, so I would use this as a land buying group only. When you have sold the parcels you already own, set your new parcel to sell to yourself, for L$0, then dissolve the group.

Best reagards!
