Has anybody noticed that the LindeX has been essentially stable for a month now? Sure, there has been a bit of day-to-day variation, as in any market, but there is no evidence of a long-term trend either up or down. Perhaps the moves by LL to decrease the money supply have been sufficient to bring it in balance with the growth of the economy.
The number of residents continues to grow, and the number of concurrent logins also continues to grow, though at only about half the rate of the number of total residents. Ongoing growth in the economy means that the money supply needs to grow; the only question is how quickly, and it looks as though we may have found an equilibrium point.
I can think of a number of possible reasons why the concurrent numbers are growing more slowly than the total number of residents. People who get in for free aren't as dedicated to SL as the old-timers who had to pay even for basic accounts; the "low-lying fruit" of hard-core people who will be thoroughly addicted to SL has already been picked, and the people coming in now are less so. International growth means that the SL population is spread out over a larger portion of the day. The new users are more likely to be consumers rather than content producers, and thus aren't making their living at SL and staying in-world eight hours or more a day.

From: Shirley Marquez Has anybody noticed that the LindeX has been essentially stable for a month now? Depends on what you call 'stable'. When I look at it I still see a steady trend, albeit slightly slowed. I don't sell that often but my last sale about 2 weeks ago was at 322. Maybe I caught a blip, but either way I still think it's trending down. Fact is, I really hope I'm wrong! Peace, -Hunter
