Donating Land To Group: Maximum Contribution?

I wanted to donate some land to a group this morning, but at the bottom of the window where you do that, it said something like: "Max contribution 1536" which led me to believe I couldn't donate more than 1536 sq/m to the group. The parcel I wanted to donate's a fair amount bigger than that, so I didn't proceed.

Is that true, are you really only allowed to donate 1536 meters to a group? (Other people have clearly donated more to other groups I'm in.) If not, what is that max donation number in the group land screen?

To donate a parcel to a group, you don't use the contribute function per se. You set the land to group, then deed the parcel to the group with the check box of owner contributes land with deed.

The 1536 you're talking about is the amount of *unused* tier that you have, tier you could purchase *additional* land with. It would allow the group to purchase additional land.
