If you are already signed up for one full sim ($195/month) and you want to buy a little more land and need to increase your allocation, what is the next step? Do you have to pay for TWO sims? Or can you add, say, 2048m2 for something considerably less than $195?

Anything after 1/2 sim tier increases by another 1/2 tier.

Estate sims are billed separately, so an extra 2048 would cost an extra $15.

They're both right - it depends on if you're owning a full sims worth of mainland or you have purchased a private island.
