I'm not sure if this has been discussed, or is even feasible, but after being one of many who has lost an object under the ground, and had to help another friend recover a rug dropped under the floor, into the ground by serious excavation and rebuilding, I was wondering if it might be possible that at some time in the future it might be considered to allow players to have a save function when it comes to land editiing, the same as when it comes to saving character changes.
For instance, you want to try building a stream or pond on your property, or recover an object accidentally placed underground under your house. First click on your property and save the current lot configuration. then go ahead sculpt out, raise, lower, whatever, and if you're unhappy with it or have finished digging out that precious 3-prim rose candle under your house, click the land again and restore it to it's previous state.
My apologies in advance if this has been discussed before or is the wrong forum.

Yessssss! I would love to be able to save a 'profile' of the land. btw, you don't have to lower the land to retrieve your buried prims. Simply click debug at the top of your screen, rendering>types>surface patch. This will turn off the rendering of land and you will be able to locate the missing prims. Repeat to turn it back on

Well, the feature suggestion forum would be better... I like the idea - and it has been mentioned before, so you get instant support. As for losing prims underground - you can retrieve them without modifying your land. You can actually turn off the ground. Ctrl-Shift-Alt-D adds a "debug" menu. Then, debug --> Rendering --> Types --> Surface Patch Poof, the ground goes away, and you can find and select prims that had been hidden there. Same menu selection brings ground back. (Oddly, the selection "ground" isn't the realted. Odd, eh?)
