if you own say a private island it is a flat fee of 195 a month separate billing from your teirs.

Another question about the tier system: Are there tiers above the "Full Region" level? For main grid holdings, the tier steps up in half region jumps after you have hit one region tier. _____________________

oh forgot to mention on the main grid, if u even teir up once higher than you are at, then teir down, you STILL pay for the highest teir that month. made that mistake as a newbie and arguement with a land partner. I ended up paying the whole teir for that month instead of splitting it by sending her money back.
yes there is somewhat of a discount per m2 the higher the teir u go. really depends on how serious you want to get into the game and how much money out of your pocket u got to support you land until you establish yourself. Then there is to consider after you establish yourself if you are relying on that establishment to pay for your teirs on how sucessful your business is..... honestly by the time i was 3/4 of a sim on the mainland...i sold it and bought a private island. Cost at the time was pretty equal for the price of good commercial mature land as a private island. and teirs ended up being not much more a month. (trustworthy partnership helps too) _____________________
