5.5 per is a pretty good price. But it is so huge and so much tier. I hate like hell to ask you to cut it up, but if you do, I'd get the bit under land I own.
But does anybody out there want to form a purchasing collective and pick up this piece from Gina? And the pieces for sale elsewhere in this awesome basin with a Linden dam. It is so gorgeous there and if we don't save it all our existing purchases there will be devalued with the usual stupid laggy clubs and stores. I have some tier for it but I don't want to pay that much money and then have it sit there. If anybody wants to share the burden, let's say 3 of us or so to split it up and keep it for residential low-impact usage, IM me inworld. _____________________

A collective? In SL? You've got to be joking.

Would you be intending to rent this land out afterwards? I maybe interested in putting forward some tier and cash but i can't do it for free though. I know this sounds harsh but i need to make some money to cover tier etc. |

Sound harsh all you like, I have the exact same belief principles: every land in my possession has to have a for-sale price tag on it, a for-rent notice or box on it, or a "under-construction" on it because it has to pay tier somehow. If it doesn't, I just may be holding it aside for somebody but I'm not here to play wilderness preserve for free.
I would rent out that land, after possibly chopping to sell a bit of it or take part for my own residence possibly. But what I need now isn't tier for that so much as up-front purchase cash. I just don't want to fork that over right now. I'd carry a good chunk of tier on renting it out, but not put cash on it if no one joins me. So if you want to go in on a deal and split rental income afterwards, we could try that. It will be risky at the time of new continent craziness, but we could see. I'd love to have a third person with not just tier but cash. It would be bearable then I think. I anticipate that the market for large clumps of steep, clifflike land with a bit of iffy views (views are still EXCELLENT as is fps in Sutherland) is going to be extremely limited. But if it has a number of villas on it at inexpensive rents it might work. As you assess this land, keep in mind that the large tracts for sale there have been there under the same landowner's sign since its birth some 30 or more days ago, and just haven't moved. Sales were sluggish until chopping occurred. _____________________

I think it has already been bought. I went there a little while ago and I saw Anshe has it for sale in smaller sections. I think I was looking at the right area. But I was still thinking I might want to buy one of the pieces anyway and just leave it free or maybe just build up in the air.

I went out there right after you IM'd me. Sadly, it is chopped up -- but not Gina's parcel, which is really huge, and hard to know what to do with "as is". But Anshe got that and reset it to sale at a higher price. I imagine the thinking on not chopping that bit was that whoever would buy it would be the kind to want to have a cliffdweller's high prim home and would want the entire cliff face as a coherant unit.
And the chopped up bits on the other side contain the best bits, like that feature that my hero Bob Bravo called "the personal patio" in the Linden dam. So I snagged the personal patio, the overlook to the personal patio, and maybe one other contiguous bit to an existing rental property of mine (since I didn't think April actually wanted them, but was just going to "preserve them" ![]() So there are some risk-laded water parcels which I hope somebody good gets who isn't in the Black Box of Doom/White Cube of Death club circuit. And there is a big swathe of hillside that is in fact fairly affordable and has loads of prims if someone wants to build some of the kind of builds you see there already on that side like Alan Palmerstone's modernist buildings which really improve the sim, or the more rustic builds of Gyoti Khan which make the entire risk of Sutherland purchases worthwhile. I can only say, now that it is chopped and it would be hard to coherently get it in a land group (and I can't take this on at least now), come to Sutherland and help preserve this beautiful area. It's unique among Linden builds, there aren't that many dams, and it has gone pretty well as sims go. It's only about 350 from the telehub but not laggy and quite pretty. _____________________
