I have done the search, all the members have to offer is "the weekly listing is $30, divide the number of group members by 30 for lib.", and "you get lindens for dwell, duh huh."

When I looked into group money for this week (11/22-11/29) our group divedend is negitive almost every day (wed. is the exeption.)
Tuesday Nov 22, 2005

Parcel Directory Fee -60
Group Dividend -9
Traffic Bonus 82

Total 13

Wednesday Nov 23, 2005

Group Dividend -81
Traffic Bonus 49

Total -32

Thursday Nov 24, 2005

Group Dividend -48
Traffic Bonus 41

Total -7

Friday Nov 25, 2005

Group Dividend -42
Traffic Bonus 22

Total -20

Saturday Nov 26, 2005

Group Dividend -21
Traffic Bonus 51

Total 30

Sunday Nov 27, 2005

Group Dividend -51

Total -51

the 28th and 29 are not shown, becuse they have not occured yet.

However this week so far these are the totals...

Group Individual Share
Credits 245 81
Debits -312 -104
Total -67 -23

Not much right? There are only 3 members in this group, and I contribute about 97% or so of the land. SL only makes the "DWELL BONUS," and "$L30 directory fee" clear in the group liabilities, and dividends. Hmmmm... guess i'm just an ignorant backward hillbilly, i always thought that when used in tandom 'liabilities' mean red ledger entry and dividends black entry.
I have no problem paying the fees, but I WOULD like them explained, and please don't direct me to another thread, i have read them all, thank you very much.

The group dividend in negative you are seeing is a group expense. The group has to pay out the traffic received from the day before. The group does not carry a balance, so all income (traffic) from today is paid out tomorrow. It shows as a negative because it is subtracting the balance it carries to pay the members of the group.

Awww...
TY Loki.
Once I look at the numbers in that light it all adds up. I tried Traffic, dwell, and dividend all in search, yours is the first "explaination" i saw.
My dumb a$$ was looking at the dividend as a apyible out to SL, not to the group members.

It took me awhile to figure it out myself. People see the negative number and think they are losing money because of it. But it is the group balance and expense, a seperate entity from the group members. The only real expense that comes to the member of a group is the directory fee, but only if the traffic numbers dont cover it. It is confusing and actually a very common question.
