It looks like one, ring lake, central rebound island, surrounding ring of sharp hills. Perhaps there was an earlier virtual world here whose residents were wiped out by a virtual celestial object. SL paleontologists should be looking for an indium rich layer and drastic change in the fossil population. Another argument for better land editing tools.

Lots of this is "hear-say" because there arent many bits&bytes left of those days.
It is said that a long long time ago, Aimee Weber was a god , even greater then Philip himself. But one time, while playing naked beach-volleyball with Robin, she got mad for losing the game and smashed the ball into the grid.......
Since then Aimee is a mere resident of SL...mortal and "verified" like the most of us.

"The Great Erase"

WOW ! !
That was just incredible. I had no idea that anything like that existed. Perhaps the next proper question to ask is if there are any organizations of "historians" floating around to put other pieces together.
You know, on issues of "Manifest Destiny" or "40 Acre farms" that sort of thing. I guess that sort of comes under "First Land"....maybe... Perhaps "Equal Rights Movement for Furries"
But again...WOW..."The Great Erase" a true work of value.
Thank you so much for posting that link to the archive. I would have never found it, or even known to look for it on my own. Many thanks !

If Activeworlds ever struck the main grid, that would leave a huge mess indeed. I think they may eventually find a collision course, but it will be years from now before it's a serious concern. Now, There.com is a far more immediate impact threat - it seems to be headed straight toward us, and fast. But my guess is that it will only take out a mainland sim or two. Perhaps a fragment will land smack on one of those noob mega-clubs, if we are lucky.
