Im sure this is the wrong place for this but i dont know where else to go
so i'm asking here.

How do you get the numbers on your profile to go up.
i.e. Apperance Behaviour building given. thank you.

Hi Alberto, welcome to SL

In theory, if you're nice to someone then they will give you a 'behaviour rate' or if you're skilled at dressing well and looking kewl then people may rate you for appearence.

The hardest one to get is a building rating. Wth good builds all over the world you have to be a very good builder to get someone to give you a building rate.

Alternatively, you could hang out at a club and be top of the leader boards within a few days. I really should go clubbing more often as I've some building I need doing and according to the leader boards, and the profiles of the leaders, that is where all the best builders hang out...

Alberto it's best to get to know a person, then you can decide about rating them. It's a lot of money just to throw around on everybody you meet at a club. I don't know if the people doing that rating game make their investment back or not??? It sounds like a boring way to make money, just clicking those buttons.

Although I realize you meant your point in jest & a hint of friendly sarcasm - it's important to note that what you're seeing on the leaderboards in this regard is a holdover from an era in SL that is no longer.

Since the redesign of the ratings system, the gratuitous rating that went on in social gathering places from July '04 - Jan '05 has dropped off substantially. If the leaderboard is important to you, and you continue to watch it - I think you'll notice it will start creeping back into something more normal as we start passing the 6-month mark from when these ratings changes were made.

That is, assuming ratings are truly dropping off after 6 months as Linden announced.

Ratings irritate me. If you're not much of a online social person, there is no way you'll ever get any ratings.

Ratings used to be given out like candy on Halloween. I have a lot of building ratings and just started building recently. I remember when people would rate everyone in the same area for no reason. The rating 'gifts' dwindled alot when the price went up for giving rates.
