Would it make more sense to have a few Sims dedicated solely to First Land purchases? At least at first, of course... they could be set up like Boardman or Lusk, albeit with prettier roads and better landscaping... so it would look more like a subdivision?

Just a thought.

I don't think it's such a good idea to lump all the noobs together. I learned so much from my neighbours about many things when I first joined. That wouldn't happen in a noob only sim.

Also what happens when you are no longer a noob (whenever that may be)? Would you be forced to move out of the sim? I love my land - half was from land from the landless and i added to it by buying more from my neighbour. There is no way I want to move from it, but unless I did, the sim would no longer be noob only.

It's pretty much assumed that over time, First Land parcels get lumped together and resold eventually, becoming just like any other plot once the newbies move on.

The Sim will become a normal, regular sim as the newbies come in, move out, sell their land, join parcels together, and so on. The upshot is the newbies can all work together, and meet and learn from one another, forge friendships, and so on.

Worth a shot, at least once.
