Bilboards and the ToS

Hello, im just about to buy some land for a bilboard... I dont want to vialate the ToS in any way, are there any precautions to take to make sure i dont upset anyone while advertising... Or special measures to take to keep from vialating the ToS. Thanks for the help.

Don't post offensive material in the open. Also, talk to your neighbors, people are usually nice and receptive when talked to.

And make sure your sign doesn't have any prims made of light type material. For example, if a sign has a green light prim, it can cast that green glow right through neighbors' walls into their living room or the showroom of their shop.

You might find it interesting to read Order without Law, How Neighbors Settle Disputes by Robert C. Ellickson, Harvard University Press. First recommended by Pathfinder Linden, it's a book about informal norms of behavior that help neighbors get along as opposed to legal mechanisms to enforce rules of conduct.
