I'm not all THAT fussed about the accuracy of slicing off................just want to be SURE that I can do it...thanks for your reply
Any other solutions to decreasing the land size would be appreciated too |

Just be aware that tier is calculated as the most land you owned at any time that month, so even if you bought the land and released that part 2 mins later you would still be charged the next tier bracker :/

You could abandon 50 sq meters of the land you already own, though, BEFORE you buy the other lot.

Also 50 won't work since it has to be in 16 meter chunks so 48 or 64.

your best bet is to talk with the seller to just sell what doesnt make you tier go up

From past experience Ive found instead of abandoning or selling tiny plots you slice off your land you should offer to GIVE them FREE of charge to your neighboor.
You may lose a few hundred L$ in the proccess if you were going to sell it, but it vastly reduces the risk of that tiny portion of land ending up with huge billboards. True they may simply sell it imediately and you would get the billboard anyway, but if they are honorable good people (Im pleased to say my neighboors are), that wont happen. |

If you try carving up a little bit of your own land, you might get to grips with whats possible. I'd also try contacting whoevers selling that land, say you're willing to pay full price for the land but could they carve off 48/64 sq m for you. That way you don't have to suffer the months tier increase either. Zap _____________________

I don't know if you already use the 10% group land bonus. It could put the 50m just within your reach in your current tier. _____________________

Here is a link that explains how to donate: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=268 So with the 10% bonus you should be able to create a group and deed your land to it, still retain your 50sq meters and buy the land. Or find a trusted friend that has extra available tier to hold that 50 sq meters, which might be easier. It needs to be a trusted friend because they would then have the ability to sell that land out from under you. Look me up in game if you want me to walk you through the donation part, or if you have further questions. I've done this about 5 times now in order to avoid teiring up. --Ham |
