When the economic stats page was first released, there was a request (two, actually) for suggestions of other statistics to add to the page. Since that time there have been no new statistics added.

I've suggested two that were also suggested and supported by others. These were:
"unique logins over 7, 14, 13, 60 days", i.e.

X unique users logged in over the past 7 days
Y unique users logged in over the past 14 days
etc.

and "Number of residents with L$ balance in a certain window", i.e.

X users have balance between L$0 and L$100
Y users have balance between L$101 and L$1000
Z users have balance between L$1001 and L$5000
etc.

These are both extremely useful numbers both for content sellers and for those of us interested in developing mathematical models of the economy, and neither report should take more than a couple of lines of SQL.

Can we please get an update on how these are coming?

Yes, but post this in the Second Life Answer forum, too. You will get an answer much faster than here.

Thanks. :) As I said in the original post, this was actually posted in there yesterday. You probably missed the thread, though, because it's made it to the bottom of the front page without an answer..... :p

I read that this morning. Am all for it. Having more information on where this company is going would definitely help.

At the least it might help some of us look less like retards when we post guesses on how things possibly work here, only to get slapped down by someone who has inside information

"No"? What do you mean, "no"? The things I've suggested wouldn't be useful? Your basic/premium division is the *only* thing missing from the economic stats page? Please elaborate.

Just stating my personal statistical preference that i've seen requested way more than the others. They're still just as valid. But i'm allowed to want my preference done first, right? :D

Replying here since this isn't really an answer. The developer responsible for the stats page is deep in another project at the moment. We will continue to collect requests for additions to the stats page and take a stab at them sometime in the future when the developer's time is freed up.

Offshore the project to India if you need extra hands.
Indian tech workers only cost $800-$1600/month for 160/hrs of work.
Peanuts...

Or be pro-american and only hire native programmers, thus supporting the economy that you are a part of. Rather than making every penny you can for your own greedy hands like Reserve would.

Ricky, as always, good suggestions!

I posted this request when the new stats page first came out: listing of land in sqm instead of acres. Yes, it is an easy enough calculation--although LL seems to use 4096 instead of 4046 (how binary of them). Sticking to the unit we are all accustomed to in world would be nice.

Also, although this is not directly an economic stat (but it does influence the economy in many ways), it would be nice to know how many active alts there are in SL. I'm sure LL would not want to share this information but it would be illuminating.

I understand that developer resources are limited, but given that the very first stat on the page is "Users logged in during the past 60 days", surely it can't take any more than 10 minutes (if even that long) to add in 7, 14, and 30 days. Go poke Lawrence in the back of the head and tell him I said to get on top of it! :)

...and of course would pull the food of some american workers' kids' plates, but then RBD never worries about that. If it's good for profit but puts 10,00 ppl in the poor house what does he care?

I think you'd find quite a few takers at $3200/month. So I suggest you start a business and do nothing more than take orders, send them to your offshores and send it to your customer once the offshores are done. Imagine the kind of money you could make. Personally I'd estimate it at $4800 per month. And off course then we're not taking into account all the overhead from using offshores.

Only to raise prices on the product you sell, causing you to
become uncompetitive. To one day be replaced by a foreign
competitor who can do it cheaper. Causing you to hurt the
economy by employing nobody and reducing the tax revenue of the govt.
