New telehub at Moth Temple

Just making sure this information reaches everyone who might be interested.

Chad TPd me from my construction site to Iris, to hear Xenon talk about Magellan's adventures being the Mythos of the new continent. Xenon mentioned something about the moth temple, and I got the impression that it was likely to be converted to telehub status. Several other people got the same impression, although we can't be certain. Ever. : )

We can't ever be certain, because while Xenon did indicate this in his talk, Robin also indicated that landowners should form a group and talk to the Lindens about whether they wanted telehubs, and it sounded as if there is still a debate, taking into consideration some players who want a wilderness like area to be preserved.

The Lindens appear to recognize the great difficulties, however, especially for new people getting out to the new world, and getting the message "can't teleport".

It seems that if a telehub is built in or out of the Moth Temple, it will have large tracts of Governor Linden land all around it -- the kind that stays Governor Linden and doesn't auction. There is a lot of purple land waiting to go to auction below this build, but not any right around it. It might be that it won't have that usually telehub hug where land barons buy up swathes of land right on the telehub so that stores rez up right in your face as you arrive. It might be a different layout in the new continent.

But...again, telehubs are always highly speculative things. I don't understand why, when they are apparently easy to put in. It will be interesting to see the land scramble.

After reading through the history of the Q & A session after the talk, I don't too much ambiguity about the moth temple becoming a telehub. I think that this coincides with conversations I've had with Robin. Robin had mentioned "plan B" which involves one telehub in the middle of the new continent with rail service to other areas. Of course it could also coincide with a plan for mutliple telehubs, which would also be a positive development for those of us who actually live on the new continent.
