I'm sorry is this is the wrong forum for this. But I am looking for land comparable to swampland in a rural area. Preferably, free of nearby "large blue signs". Basically I would like to build a southern louisiana style mansion on a fitting plot of land.

I haven't really seen anything fitting your request, but I'd like to. I'd like to find some bayous, tables with jumbo on them... I've seen alligators but that's not the whole set. Maybe even a tire on an old tree, lots of fog. One prob is the water in SL looks too pristine all over, altho I understand this could be simulated with prims.

Best of hope finding what you're looking for tho!

I've noticed the cypress trees have no knees? How can we have no cypress knees? Some alpha textures like the weeds and grasses would do nicely. Swamp land might be easily created, but there'd be a serious lack of atmosphere without them knees.

Some duck weed textures would be cool. Dark water and duck weed...

Catax would be a good area to build something like that in. It has a lot of narrow waterways running through the sim.

Isn't land with nearby large blue signs the SecondLife equivalent of swampland?

I'd say just be careful it doesn't fall over and sink into the swamp the first few tries.

Cool! Let us know where to find your build when you are done. I'd love to see it as well!
