I was wondering if there was or if there is any intrest in an in game way to pay your second Life account with Linden dollars.
I myself being not from the Usa find it costs me the exchange rate AND bank fees on BOTH ends.
Am I the only person without a credit card?
it would be great to be able to go to lsomething like a giko and pay LL your second life account fees in Linden dollar equivilant to Usa Dollar of the day amount.
maybe LL could set up an in game game acount atm?

just a thought for us overseas players.

How bout this, apply for the PayPal credit/debit card and sell some lindens on GOM then transfer the cash to your paypal account. Then use your paypal card to pay for SL. There, not only is your SL account getting paid but you're getting a free account too! LL makes their buck and you get free play. Both make out as winners. And technically you just paid LL with Lindens. Reason your way won't work is because there are people who make alot of Lindens in the game. Example, I'm a basic user right now and as a DJ & Sales Associate I make a few thousand lindens a week. May not be much to some, but if I horded my lindens and used them directly to pay for an account LL wouldn't make any money off of me because I wouldn't have paid them with anything. L$ to LL is as worthless as a counterfit money is to us. L$ is not real money just like counterfits. Remember, LL can roll out L$ by the billions at zero cost so why would they want more?

Lindens are completely useless to LL. They cant pay their bills with them. That is what your US$ subscription and tier are for. Pay them in Lindens - they go bankrupt and close down. Not very helpful to anyone.

Be careful, if you are coming in to play economics on the forums, Coeur. Its a minefield riddled with complexity and misunderstandings. One reason it's so intriguing.

Both the suggestions you have just been given are good. I should take one.

Buying all with Lindens

I have land with Azure Island and don't have to pay in anything but Lindens.

I do, however pay $10 usd to LL to have enough to pay rent without working in SL.

So if I did work say .. a few times a week I could pay for it all with lindens... have land that would normally cost $25 usd a month.

Only by renting land from others can you have a full linden paid game experience with land.

Personally I rent from Timmy Night and got a really nice condo for 1000 a month. It even comes with a 500 prim limit. Much better deal than buying a chunk of land the same size wich would only yield me 117 prims. Sometimes it is better to rent. I've thought about going premium and renting out my first land plot cheaply to some noobs or basic users who want a place to call their own. Then I was gonna do my method I mensioned earlier to pay for the account. Probly gonna do that next week when I have the spare money.
