I mean really, what's the point in giving financial advice around here when there is no relevant data upon which to base it?
SL money is a potentially unsafe investment no matter how one looks at it, and especially if they're going to dole it out to people every Tuesday. Soon as SL becomes an unviable concept to sustain, it'll go phantom prim on us and turn into vaporcash.

Money, in and of itself, is not an "investment." It's a tool of exchange.
If the Second Life economy fails it will most likley be due to Linden-enacted restrictions placed on the money supply in a poorly-reasoned effort to keep inflation down.
