I would like some clarification on this.
The event listing page says to list an event: "You personally own the parcel and it is over 512 square meters in size."
Yet a resident has suggested to me that you can list an event if you own a 512 square meter parcel.
So which is it? Does your parcel need to be 513m2 or larger or can you list on a parcel that is exactly 512m2?
It matters to me as I want to host events (and obviously to list them) on a parcel that is exactly 512m2. It is just under that right now and I will try to buy up to my 512m2 tier limit if I can then list events that I host.

Parcels have to be 513m or larger in order to post events that are held on that parcel, to the event calendar. The official linden response I've seen - is something to the effect of "If you really want to host an event, you *can* post an event to any one of the many Linden properties designed for this purpose." Of course, this probably isn't what you're after. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

It looks to me like the limit is greter than or equal to 512meter2. Am I missing something?

That would be a dumb rule. So new players are barred from hosting events because they only own 512m of land? That doesn't sound right.

The Events: Posting Rules page repeatedly says "over 512 square meters". I don't see any mention of "equal to". If that's an error, it should be asked about on Hotline To Linden so it can be fixed.

I can definitively say now that you CAN post events if your plot is EXACTLY 512m2, despite what it says in the posting requirements.
I had a 496m2 plot and a additional 16m2 elsewhere in the sim. I could not post events for my larger plot. Thanks to a tremendous favor from my neighbor (Compulsion Overdrive) I was able to swap the separate 16m2 plot and add 16m2 to my main plot, bringing the total single plot, and my total holdings, to 512m2. Now I can list it in the events page.
I amended my complaint on the Linden Hotline forum.
I guess I really dont have a problem with limiting event listing to 512m2 and larger plots. At least anyone who wants to hold events can stay in the basic land tier and hold them. They just need to find the right sized plot to start with.
It would be tremendously helpful if the text on the events listing requirements was made more accurate.
Thanks for your views on this.

Glad to see you can post events on a 512m plot - my apologies for the misinformation. At one time this was a genuine problem - but it appears that Linden has gone & done the right thing & fixed it.
