As we now all know this forum is possibly likely to be closed by Linden Labs within the next few weeks. As a good part of the Second Life experience is all about the virtual economy I think an external BB would continue to form a useful add on to Second Life. Therefore perhaps the time has come to agree on some alternative sites. I have two suggestions. The first site is here http://www.advfn.com/ is the premier financial site in the UK and Europe. It carries a vast amount of real life financial information and it includes a BB where we can all create threaded discussion groups. The site gets upwards of half a million hits daily. Registering is free and provides access to a lot of free financial information as well as a BB where we could create themed Second Life threads. The img src tag is enabled on the BBs which also may be useful The second site is here http://www.anshechung.com/ a name familiar to all of us. Anshe's web site also contains a BB. Again it is a possible alternative providing Anshe gave a promise of non interference (excluding aggressive posts etc) Anyone else have any views

Not that I've really been on them (I'm still just mostly spending my time here, till I have to jump), there's the following existing forums: - Business, Land and the Economy at SL Universe
- Business and Commerce at SecondCitizen
Where possible and practical, I think it's nice to try and supporting existing structures, rather than splinter the SL community into 5,000 different shards.

We do have a blanket 'Business' category over at YASLF but there's no posters to it right now, and honestly considering the amount of trolling and nastiness this particular forum has always generated I'm wondering if I'd rather keep it that way. :->

The Second Life Home Page forums are a clone of these forums. You'll find "Land and the Economy" here: http://forums.slhomepage.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6

So maybe we should just have a vote started, where it should move to: a, b, c or d, and just stick with wherever everyone wants to go. I'm not a big poster but I enjoy reading these forums and would hate to lose that cuz everyone went separate ways.

Thanks. Not just Land & Economy, but most of the forums, as a whole. Better to let the Lindens explain. You're welcome.
