Increase ANWR Autoreturn Time, Please.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to the actions of certain people blocking the primrig well, (and others I guess, but I know of this incident particularly) the autoreturn for ANWR was first enabled. This was set at 30 minutes, which seemed reasonable enough, if someone left something around it would get cleaned up eventually.

It also fostered a growing number of people that liked to stop their vehicles on the rig, tweak them a bit, and then move on, perhaps even rezzing new parts and incorporating them into their vehicles. This emergent behavior was quite cool, and I enjoyed that a lot.

Then the red cargo crate appeared on the rig, which I fully supported and thought was a pretty cool idea, the prim usage was minimal and could be easily covered by the sim. You could even make the arguement that since the person involved had enough land elsewhere with prim allocation he wasn't using, that he did cover the 'cost' to Linden Lab, albeit in a different sim than what the container was rezzed in.

Then, for some reason, the autoreturn was reduced severely to 5 minutes. The primrig is dry, no prims flow out of it for some reason (unrelated to the return, just thought I'd mention it.) and now hardly anyone stops by anymore, and not because of the new telehub either.

I know you don't have to do what I ask, but I was hoping you would anyway, since LL has been proven to be cool about things like this, and not just adhere to some 'letter of the law' policy.

Please consider increasing the autoreturn back to what it had been, at 30 minutes.

Thanks for reading, admins.

Lindens, I have land where I'm not using prims, too, and I wonder, could I add my House Parts sale on to your air crash build and have it STAY. Geez. I even help make it look more crashy! Come on, I know you are cool about things like this!

So whats the story here? This guy posted because no one was hanging out somewhere? Was someone benefiting financially from the crowds that hung out there via direct sells or advertising? I just dont see the point of the original complaint to the Lindens. If people dont hang there then they are somewhere else. Go find them where-ever or give them a reason to hang out on the rig or any location.

Prok, it was a suggestion, and noted accordingly. I won't be posting whinescraper screeds if they don't do it, I'll just ask 'pretty please' and see if they will or not. If not, I'll build as always, with nary a tear shed.

You really should concern yourself with other things, though I'm *so* flattered you can't resist poking your scaly craw into everything I do.

See you at the primrig :)

No one was benefiting financially from it. It used to be a nice spot to rez a vehicle or tinker with something from your inventory. But whatever you bring out of your inventory is now returned after 5 minutes as opposed to 1/2 hour.

Well, some super-feted types got to do some awesome kewl builds on it right next to the Lindens, suck up the glory and the limelight, maybe get a posrate or two, well..whatever.

But since the norm on Linden land is a ruthless, merciless autoreturn that brooks no discussion, it seems like all they did here was pamper Maxx for awhile but then even their patience gave out.

I think you're WAAAAAAAY over your allotted airtime, Prokofy. I'll be placing a call on the FIC hotline phone to rectify this immediately.

Good try, you almost got the mixture of bile and accusatory tone *just* right - but you blew it again like some comical supervillan who laughs a little too long, or ends up telling the superhero his precise plan for blowing up the world.

Awesome cool builds? Well, the cargo crate was cool, yes, but weighed in at about 4 prims or so, if I recall. I also didn't build it, it was nicely textured and placed by Splat1. I had a primshack I manuevered into place when I felt like it, but that too was a limited number of objects, and wasn't really 'super cool', just did it so I could say I had tried.

You know, being creative and all you tend to just 'do' things without some overarching reason. Of course, you'd know this if you even were...of which I'm increasingly in doubt of.

The norm is to return objects to keep things humming along, and it reduces administrative burden, usually. They adjusted the return - which they can totally do without warning, I admit - its their sim after all - so I just thought I'd try to get some wiggle room.

The only one frothing at the mouth and falling over backwards here is you.

I'm cool.

You see, our experts describe you as an appallingly dull fellow, unimaginative, timid, lacking in initiative, spineless, easily dominated, no sense of humour, tedious company and irrepressibly drab and awful. And whereas in most professions these would be considerable drawbacks, in chartered accountancy they are a positive boon.

Prokofy, your nattering on about very minor issues (such as the one addressed in this thread) dilutes the impact of your posts about more important issues. Throttle back, dude.

Geez, I've been brief in this thread, people. Count your blessings!

I know it was splat, that was a matter of public record already, duh.

I was just speaking in a general way about the feted putting their stuff on public land and having it stick, is all. I mean, the unfeted and the semifeted would like some Linden stick-time, too! I'd like it just for half a second while I try to maneuver a house in over tricky water! Sheesh.

You know, several times when I flew past the oil rig and saw you there, Vexx, I tried to be nice and strike up a convo but you ignored me (maybe I'm still on mute or something).

I'm sorry I didn't get that tone of vile bile *just right* but here's a freebie forum siggie for you, Vexx:

"I'm creative and all, too, !#@$#@$!@#"

Heh I dont have you on mute (I think) if I was standing still I was nodoubt afk, if not then im sorry If I have upset you :)

No, I won't date you.

And your 'flyby to say hi' actually was more 'fuh-fuh-fuh' and I just flew away not saying anything. Get the point, I don't desire contact with you :)

This episode is over, flit over to another thread and darken it with your monolith-like ego.

Ugh. Like I was trying to date you? Are you nuts?

If you don't desire contact with me, why are you answering my every post with energetic insults like you care?

Um...do I build actual monoliths in this game? No, you do.
