Thanks for all the debate over the last 8 months. I have decided to leave Second Life.
Thanks for all help received and thanks for a good learning experiance.
If you read this Anshe Chung, thanks for your time, the land in Dreamland I did own is now free for you to resale, I require nothing for it

Paul if per chance you peek back at these forums I want to wish you good luck with all your endeavors. It's been a pleasure knowint you and have always enjoyed our discussions in-game. Please contact me so perhaps we can donate the 50% money owed you to a charity rather then just see the land abandoned.
Good luck

Pay someone half what you milked them for in the first place. But then again a certain land barones is quite well known for not paying more than 50% value for anything.

From: Jamie Bergman Later. Hope you learned some valuable lessons. Like maybe not to buy freebies that are represented as quality content from SL's biggest con artist? Notice...no names are mentioned.

Can buyers be found for private island rental rights? You bet. I just watched a sizeable parcel go for over $L 10 per meter in 2 days on a private island, just by word of mouth alone. Paul, I do hope you return.

Ignorance
06-16-2006 03:03
They say that ignorance is bliss. If so, so many on these boards are so blessed! Paul and I are good friends. Paul was a great client and always a gentleman. He left SL suddenly without warning. He and Anshe are very good friends. The 50% is a generous offer made by Anshe to any resident who must leave quickly and has no time to sell his land. It amounts to abandoning land on the mainland. So getting 50% vs 0 on the mainland seems to me to be a generous gesture on Anshe's part.
Why some people are so deprived of intellect that they would even misconstrue my statement to use it to flame and attack others is beyond me.
I run a non-profit in RL .. we service the homeless. My request of Paul was to not abandon the land but rather sell it back and give the proceeds to a charity.
Unfortunately Paul's sudden departure did not give me the opportunity to ask him privately. I had hoped that he might read this post and get back to me this way.
