What do you think of this.

Account Status- Commercial

1)Gets no stipends
2)They can sell their L$ they earn on Lindex.

Account Status- Resident

1)Get a weekly Stipend to spend
2) Can not list L$ for sale on Lindex

I think this would stablize the economy a bit by taking some money out circulation and also some what reducing the amount of money listed on Lindex.

The economy is based on consumer confidence, it can never be stable. Also, this belongs in land and economy.

Set one alt to resident, set the other to commercial. ;)

Yes that is possible but it would still limit some L$ that is dumped into the economy every week. I think the mojority of SL vendors do not really care about the weekly stipend (I know I dont) but yet it is still money poured into the economy and listed for sale..

Or, LL can easily make all accounts tied to one credit card forced to be the same account status.

Well, the simple "why not" is this:

Forbidding anyone to sell or buy via the LindeX will merely force them to 3rd party money changers and deprive Linden Labs of the exchange fee.

There's no benefit to Linden Labs to close the door to the LindeX to anyone.

I spend between 15k and 30k a week for classified ads.
Linden gave me 500L$, i gave them 25000L$ this week.
So, yes, i don't care of stipend ;)

Why add restrictions ? What is needed is features and perspectives, not artificial shackles.
