Just thought I'd share my response to the Linden land changes:

Hi Linden Labs,
You've just made it more likely that I won't buy any virtual land again in Second Life.
I dropped down to the one time payment several months ago due to a lack of interest in SL. Now I find it completely driven by selling - whether it be AV clothes, accessories, objects, vehicles, buildings, or virtual land.

I really haven't felt an open feeling about SL in many many months. I no longer feel comfortable flying my AV around SL and exploring.

And the forums... feel like everyone is on edge, myself included, all the time. They do have a direct impact on how often enter into SL and how I view SL. I know I've rubbed people the wrong way and had others rub me the wrong way all because of how the written word comes across.

The few friendships I've had in SL, I know I probably ruined by not keeping in contact with people and dumping my calling cards when I became disillusioned with SL. Though the one person I do keep in contact with I keep in touch with via other means.

Sure I'll log in from time to time.. But I won't be spending very much time - just enough to notice I have no Lindens so any cool textures I created will remain on my harddrive and not brought into the world

Have a nice Secondlife... I'm well onto my third...
