Parsing SL Protocol for Land Pricing Data

I wouldn't know, because I've never done this (heh heh), but I've heard rumours that ethereal reveals that land pricing data is sent around in the clear.

One wonders if you could pick this up, store it, and build a historical pricing database in order to realtime find out which parcels are priced below market value?

If it is sent and in the clear then doing what you said is very doable technically (not saying easy).
Wouldn't you have to fly over each sim everyday though? A bit long... (unless the data is sent when in map screen)

It's sent when you do a for sale search using the find button.

Or so I've heard! I wouldn't dare contravene the reverse engineer rules in the TOS. ;)
