Hey folks. I'm very new (2 days) to the fabulous world of SL, and I've seen a lot of talk about P2P teleporting floating around. Because I'm so new, the idea of teleporting is new to me in the first place, but I've picked up pretty quickly that land has a much greater value when parked near tele hubs.
I'm sure this question has been asked dozens of times, but...if tele points become obsolete, wouldn't now be a great time for newbies like myself to buy a ton of land? From what I've gathered, other than snow, slopes, streets, and seascapes, telporting hubs are the biggest factor to land value...atleast from a business perspective. I'm far from an economist, but I'd venture to guess that there's going to be some madness going on when folks that have a bunch of money tied up in land next to teleports lose their value. Sorry for drawing this thread out so long. I'm typing as I think.
Couldn't I just ignore the land that's close to a tele hub, and focus on land that's flat or close to a street, or should I still keep the teleporters in mind when I make my decision?
Again, sorry for draggin that out so far. Any feedback would be fantastic. Thanks!
