Let's see if SL's businesses are doing well. Let me remind you, we are talking about profits. That's revenue minus expenditures (like tier, lease payments, advertisment etc.). I think we should have this poll every month to see the development of the economy.

We've done ok at LW though a combination of flattening trends in new user growth, and the >10% decline in L$ in the last month has definately hurt, our 'expenses' totaled about $150k linden alone now (two sim tier)

I tried to do that a bit last time I was there, and the year before, partially by spreading the word of it, partially by trying to convince people that I will take their payments for my real world items in L$ (yes, I charge both $US and $L for my real word products and services ) Hope with the $L seemingly stabilizing a bit, things will be better next month regrdless for you guys. I saw someone undercut everyone with about $1,400,000L earlier, which would've created a permanent $L wall just a week ago (prices wouldn've never declined beyond that), but this time it was all gone within two hours. Good trends, plus means manipulating the market through undercutting (if that was happening) has gotten MUCH more costly

I'd love to see more businesses directed at furries. Everyone deserves a wider variation on whats for sale.

I basically manage Pi Islands (just Pi right now) for free. It's my way of saying "thanks for charging so much for Islands". But I have fun and break about even, so that's all I really care about. MM

Going to be hard to demo live content. We got a bunch archived to divx though that we're editing into reels.

Ask someone to bring a powerfull directional antenna, point it out the window, and you should be set But DivX will definitely make things easier (make sure to speed up the playback so they don't notice the lag )

Is business picking up for everyone the last week and why? I had as many sales the past week as I did the entire first four weeks of May.

I would like to have a website, where you can register your business and with which one can make business related statistics. An interface where every business owner can put in their information (example: this months profit) which automatically is transformed into an anonymous bar chart. Or even an online single entry / double entry accounting system for business owners would be nice.

I think we should have this poll every month to see the development of the economy. I don't see any explanation in this post regarding business owners only. The question was: "How much profit did you make in May 2006?". Being part of the majority category of unemployed consumers, I naturally replied zero.

No, my business was almost dead after I have raised the price of my guitar from 750 to 800. So I reverted the prices back the other day and business picked up again.

L$
----------------- It is interesting to see that we have a large number of big-sized companies (100k+): 25.42 % I think that a bunch of the votes are fake.
