I read in new blog that basic account holders can own land and build now - FREE. That seems odd since those of us who pay for the right to build and own land also pay tier fees if we are over our first land amt. Please verify and correct me where or if i am wrong.

Basic can own land purchased from private estates, but most of the time there is still a fee. |

Its an issue of who you pay.
To own land on the mainland you need to be premuim and pay LL tier for the land. To own/rent land on a private estate you do NOT need to be premuim and you pay the tier/rent to the estate owner. |

To own/rent land on a private estate you do NOT need to be premuim and you pay the tier/rent to the estate owner. Except you don't actually "own" it as such, and you can be kicked off or lose everything at any time for no reason whatsoever. Renting carries a lot more risks than people realise, and I'd rather pay a couple of dollars extra for 100% security of ownership, than to log in one morning and find that the sim owner has done a runner with my money and booted us all out. Lewis Lewis, I do not always agree with everything you say (in fact I hardly ever agree with anything you say on the economy) but you are a decent honest guy. Most Estate owners are the same, people prepared to shell out a lot of bucks to gain a modest profit in terms of renting out land. I know I have spoken to some and the margins are quite slim and it surprises me they are prepared to both take the risk and provide a fair service. PS some advice from me, start charging for those bikes you made,( and prevent them being transfered) I could have sold the one you gave me for free the other day.......... |
