Our group has some grouped land of which all has been supplied and deeded by myself. We now wish to sell this large amount of land. I understand if its sold as group land the maney is shared amongst the group which in this case is not appropriate. So how can I sell it back to myself so that I can set it for sale from me. I see two problems. One is I dont have the allocation as its deeded to the group. If I remove my allocation before buying what will happen to the land as it will be with a group that has no allocation to supprt it anymore. Will it instantly go public. The other problem is that if I try to buy all the land I may be short in my allocation by the 10% that you get for grouping land. As I only need to own it briefly to sell it, is there a way around this problem.

You can remove your allocation from the group before selling it to yourself. Groups have a small grace period before the Lindens step in and confiscate the land. The grace period is over 1 day. The land will not instantly go public.

If you don't have the land allocation to hold all of the land you are buying back, then that's a problem. Three solutions...

1. Create a new group (you'll need at least 3 members that you trust to give you the money or two alts), have that group buy the land, then when the sale is made, have the members pay you back.
2. Set the land for sale for a large amount of money, then tell people it's negotiable. Sell the land to them for L$0, and have them manually pay you the L$.
3. Have someone with the land tier buy the land and pay you back when it's sold.

I've bought an awful lot of land from another group via hanks #2 method, and it can work... but they had been neighbors of mine for many many months and we had built up some trust in regards to matters financial, and land via many previous exchanges.

You have to be very condifent in the buyer if you try to sell the land this way (or they need to be really confident in you) because either way, ONE of you is, for some small period of time, going to have all the land *AND* all the money, and there is nothing in the system that can 'fix' it if the other party jus walks away with it
