We've added a 1% fee to our transfer feature. See details at http://ginkofinancial.com/

"We've added a fee to our transfer feature."

To transfer L$ from one account to another. Not their regular transaction fees. Duh.

I've already taken steps to ensure that they won't get a cent out of me in transfer fees by not using the transfer feature anymore even if that means doing things the old fashioned way, I am also unimpressed with the fact that they implemented the feature well before giving anyone notice, and they also have not stated why the new fee is necessary, I would be much more for accepting it if they Ginko Financial would at least explain why they need this additional fee.

My bank raised its fees without notice. Even FDIC-insured federal banks can raise fees without notice. Why would a private, non-FDIC-insured be expected to?

Message I initially received did said transaction, though fourty-five minutes, or so, later I did get a corrected notice that it was just transfers not transaction. :)

Yes, it is just a fee on transfering Ginko funds from one Ginko account to another Ginko account. Depositing and Withdrawing funds have no fee attached to them.

This trasfer fee is also capped at L$100 I do belive, so if you need to transfer, make it big transfers.

People were using the transfer feature to get around our daily withdrawal limit. The fee is a way of ensuring that they at least pay for this convenience.

Why not impose a daily transfer limit?

Why limit what people can do when you can just charge them for doing it? We are working on making the first 20k a day or so tranfered fee-free so that people NOT using the transfer to get around the limits don't get hurt.
