Making money is fun to me. That is why I came to SL.
There are other aspects of SL which are fun, but most of them are done better elsewhere. Games are done better on specialist platforms, the physics engine of SL is just too limited. Socializing can be done on forums, chat rooms, even other virtual worlds like There. Or real life. Most of these other things don't lag. Customizing my avatar was fun for ten minutes.
I have yet to visit a SL location which had enough interesting content to motivate me to return. If it is a game, it is not a very good one, and I don't think it would survive on that basis.

I think it makes a wonderful gaming experience.
Different perceptions of what one wants in a game perhaps?

From: Green Panther I have yet to visit a SL location which had enough interesting content to motivate me to return. If it is a game, it is not a very good one, and I don't think it would survive on that basis. I think you answered your own question with your first statement: From: Green Panther Making money is fun to me. That is why I came to SL. Making money may be a selling point from LL's point of view - but the reality is very different. If you expected to come here and take home $1000 in your first month... it's no wonder you are disappointed. Many of us play here and provide content for others yet don't even cover our monthly costs - because it's a disposable 'entertainment budget'. Lewis
