Just curious, whats the tier on 40 Sims?

Is there any kind of a "grace period" for reselling that land, or does the person that wins a 40 sim block get stuck with 40 sims worth of tier the next day?

I believe tier is charged one month after purchase, and there are no additional discounts beyond the full-sim tier. So it's 40 x $195 ?

CODE

$72/year account.... 6.00 per month
40 sims • $195... 7800.00 per month
------------------------------------------
Total 7806.00 per month

And that's before any concierge or other LL service.

Should think they have to pay the tier straight off..

Add in the 10% group bonus - since it's mainland land.

It is on islands but these are not islands this is a new bulk sale so I think we need a Linden to answer this one well that or perhaps the new owners can tell us?

K, fine

The highest tier is 195 a month per sim.

So 40 sims times 195 is 7800 a month.

Minus 10% group bonus, (2,621,440 - 262,144 (4 sims worth), $US 7020 a month.

Ta-da! Math. It's what's for dinner.

That’s all well and good LF, but the question is not a basic math question:

Do the bulk sales sims have to pay the 195.00 US$ per month tier immediately. OR Do they also wait 30 days like island owners.

I would think Immediately since they are essentially, flipping properties. Not using them for long term projects like the islands do. That however is probably another topic.

Ta-da! Reading Comprehension Skills.

Mainland sims are just like all other mainland land. Your tier payment is based on peak useage for te month.

Robin stated rather clearly in her initial post announcing the bulksales test:
From: Robin Linden

*At the end of the week Linden will lock down the limits so they are the same as the rest of the mainland -- +/-4m. At this point the winning bidder will take ownership and be responsible for tier payments.
* These sims will not be considered estates, or have estate management features. They are part of the mainland, ...
Those sims are mainland and are handled accordingly. So "tier hits you" when the next billing date arrives.

It is not hard to postpone that date for 30 days: Create an alt, invite that alt into your land holding group, let it donate the needed tier to the group, aquire the sims. This alts's account will be billed for the tier after 30 days.
