Hello. My name is James Samiam, the founder of the White Taber cruise ship (WT).

Over the last few months the owner of the sim 'Nautilus' has been having some RL issues...and hes going to let the sim go, which means the ship will go with it.

Why can't you just move the ship somewhere else? may be something you'd ask. But It's not that easy..

It started about 2 months ago. I was a little low on money, so I decided to purchase some lindens. Yes, the money was good, but the outcome wasn't so good. I'm nineteen years old, and I've only just left school. I don't have a credit card, so I use my mums.

Anyway, I decided to buy some lindens without asking my mother first. Most of the time she says yes, because I eventualy pay her back. So I thought "I don't need to ask her first, so I'll just take it".

Eventualy she found out that $15 US was taken from her bank account. But unfortunately she didn't come ask if it was me first. She thought that LL was stealing our money (my mums paranoid). She decided to call up our credit card provider and tell them that LL was taking our money. The company blocked LL and took the money back, which also made LL put my account on hold.

After a few days I called up LL, asking them how to unlock my account. They said that I had to get the credit card holder to call the bank and tell them it wasn't frawd.
But it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Constant begging and bugging my mum everyday to do it. We've been having some RL issues lately...my mum is leaving my dad, and theres alot of confusion going on. It took me a whole 3 weeks to convince my mum to call them. The credit card company said that there is no way to give the money back to LL, and that they can't reverse the frawd. Sometimes I was convinced that my mum only said that to shut me up...but I hope not.

After all these real life issues going on...bad things happening everyday, I am told that SL now doesn't require a credit card to make a basic account! I got realy excited, thinking that I'd get my account back. I made a new alternate basic account so that I could talk to a linden inworld about getting my main back. I was told to call the office in the morning and they could unblock my account.

I called them up. The guy on the phone told me that I needed the credit card holder to call LL and tell them to unlock it. After convincing my mum to call again, she says yes. And it only took me 5 mins this time to convince her.

So she calls up. I think to myself "I think this is it!". After listening to her talking on the phone, she finishes and tells me that we need to call the bank and tell them to reverse the frawd, but we already tried that before and we we'rent able to do it. Why do I need the account back soo bad? because while all this is happening, the sim is getting closer and closer to ending, which will also end the White Taber. But theres one problem. How can I move the ship somewhere else without my main account to do it? I cant.

And that brings us to the present day...

I was thinking of an idea earlier today..what if the sim owner would rather sell the sim than just delete it? So I turned on my computer and here I am! typing in the SecondLife forum.

If there is anyone out there in the forums that are interested in a sim, Nautilus is the place to buy. Even though the sim itself isn't advertised in find, the traffic is great! Lots of people coming and going all the time. Mostly because of our cruise ship. We have 2 White taber ads put up in 2 different clubs. If we combind the traffic of the WT advertisement and a new advertisement of the sim, it could be very successfull.

If your interested and helping us out, you can find more information on the WT website.

We have screenshots and information about the ship there.

Fair warning: If you can't log in the account that owns the sim, you can't set it for sale. If Nautilius is reverted to Governer Linden and then sold, usually everything on it will be wiped at time of sale - apparantly this is LL policy when land owned by a frozen/absent account is sold because they can't risk going against the content creator's wishes regarding transferring it to someone else.

I own the ship not the sim.

I am by no means an expert here but read your post and wish you well. Sorry to hear that a young man or for that matter, anyone, has to go through what your going through but I admire your perseverance. If you don't mind pun, "Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead"

Do you need the sim? I have not seen the ship or the sim, but I gather from the name that it might be a sea theme so I I guess you want to keep that intact. But to protect your creative assets put that ship in your inventory and if worse comes to worse, find a new home with your new abilities and bring it back out, out of dry dock sort of...

Hope this is of some help.

PS take lots of snapshots of the ship in place as well, that will help in finding a new home.

Wow, man, get a debit card; you're not kid anymore!

Too bad about the ship. Have you talked to Linden Labs about paying off the bad credit card charge in a different way?
