Killing (or drastically reducing) stipends might seem like a reasonable move to reduce money supply.
I have to ask what it will do to the accounting in SL.
I run an alt, essentially for checking permissions and things on things I build. Said alt is a basic but logs in a lot so is given the $50. The alt is also a member of a group that has some fees charged for being in the Find directory. Currently the two offset each other nicely - I always get less that $50 because the stipend goes in, the group fees go out.
What happens if basic stipends vanish? Do I end up with a negative balance? Does LL's internal charging system work rather better than the one they allow scripting access to and say 'Group X has paid less than $30/Find so we must charge the people with cash remaining more?'
If all stipends vanish and everyone keeps $0 in their account at the end of midnight does find just stop working altogether? Or does one of the smaller sinks in SL vanish as an effective sink straight away, and only penalise n00bs that don't know how to game it?
