Forgive me for sounding utterly idiotic, but I wanted to check on something.
I had 300L when I started my account. If I spend them, I won't wind up spending real money, will I? This will only occur if I buy more L, correct?

You are correct. You won't spend any money unless you buy more $L. It would be super if LL gave all new residents credit limits, though, and let them run themselves deep into debt playing Tringo and Blackjack.
