Hello all,

I'm the econ guy. Please select one of the three options in the poll. A concise analysis will be made after, but I can't comment now as to not alter the results.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a Premium Acct. and you would DOWNGRADE to a free account if premium stipends were eliminated, you should select "I WILL QUIT."

Cheers!

Hello all,

I'm the econ guy. Please select one of the three options in the poll. A concise analysis will be made after, but I can't comment now as to not alter the results.

1. I Am A Premium Account Holder And If Premium Stipends Are Eliminated, I will Quit SL.

2. I Am A Premium Account Holder And If Premium Stipends Are Eliminated, I Will NOT Quit SL. I Will Stay & Continue To Pay For My Premium Account.

3. I Am NOT A Premium Account Holder.

Cheers!
Would love to however you need to add a couple things, like asking who used to be a premium account holder and has already tiered down, etc etc. Also might be helpful if you actually put the poll up.

There is not an option to switch to a basic account.

Hey, for what I want to find, I only need the above. But I should note that if you have a Prem acct and would downgrade to standard, you should select, "I will quit."

Politely, I am not sure this is useful because it all depends on the total value proposition offered in what is called a Premium Account at the time.

But, if a Premium account was purely only about the ability to hold land, I would go back to basic account, rent land and buy $Linden as required.

Yes, if you would downgrade, then please select, "I would quit." for this poll. I'm typing up another one for tomorrow which will go a bit deeper and measure one other variable I'm looking into.

Thanks.

I wouldnt quit because the only reason I have a premium account is for the land, I would hope if they took away stipends then we woud get something in return...maybe up the base for the tier

I voted teir down to basic..this is assuming they don't change the fees for premium or recompensate in some other way. Your poll is incomplete.

Yea, this poll would be based on rules and charges that apply right now. And in your case, you would select "Quit." Tier down = Quit on this poll.

Sorry, they give little room to type the selections. I ahve a poll coming next week which you'll like more.

Thanks

Two things...

1) You are not "the" economy guy... you're just an individual who happens to have an interest in this game's economy.

2) It's difficult to really know how to vote because we don't know what compensation we'd get if stipends were removed.

I don't understand why people are still trying to get stipends blasted when the real reason for the market crash is too many people undercutting each other to sell faster, and a few people trying to cash out millions of L$ in one go in order to pay tier.

Let's not get confused here - remember that land barons who accept payment in L$ are the real problem. Funny how nobody wants to deal with it because it affects their profit. Surely it's better to affect 10 people than 10,000?

I'm not sure those are the best choices- downgrading is not the same as quitting..as you would still play, and possibly rent land, buy L$ etc etc...
They would still be participating in SL..kinda a big difference than quitting totally I think.

Yes, but I am measuring something in which downgrade = quit.

I know it's your poll Teufel, but it's worded innacurately.

Why not just throw in an option to downgrade to basic, which is entirely different than the "I'm going to quit SL" choice you are encouraging us to choose.

If you later want to factor it as an "I quit SL," you can do so very easily. Just add the two options. This way we wont have to lie to participate in your poll.

Also, why not hold people accountable and let the poll reflect the names of the individuals who voted? I supose its just me, but IMO, there are certain instances in which a voter should remain anonymous, and this isn't one of them. This is a harmless poll. Although necessary at times, anonymous polls have very little credibility with me.

Hiya, I know what you mean. I could have made it clearer. Sorry about that. This was my first SL poll, heh and setting it up was confusing at first, it even posted the poll with no poll at first, lol and it limits the letters of the questions to 100, which makes wording harder, etc. and I didn't even know I could switch anonymous on and off. Heh. Please do the best you can while answering.
