Two quick questions if I may, please. a) there was talk that the link between the ratings system and the stipend bonus scheme would be suspended in the new version of SL. Now that we have the new version, has that happened? b) I once remember seeing a website that explained the way in which the bonus system worked, and how much each rating point was worth in terms of additional stipend. I can't find it again I'm afraid. Can any kind soul out there provide a pointer please? (to which the answer is 'what's the point?' if the answer to a) is 'yes'! Best wishes Anima

a. yes, you no longer get any bonus $L for ratings
b. it's probably been removed because it is irrelevant due to the removal of rating bonuses.
You now only get bonus $L for traffic and referrals.

Our sim has had the same traffic numbers for three days, which is wrong, cause 1 of the three we had a 4 hour event and lots of traffic. Bonus from dwell.... nada

If the bonus for ratings has been removed, why does the button for rating people remain? Using it returns $25 to Linden for each point given. After all, there is a perfectly serviceable button with which we can give people money if we wish to do so.

After all, there is a perfectly serviceable button with which we can give people money if we wish to do so. You have just illustrated why it was removed. The ratings were never meant to be a way to provide income, but that's exactly what they became as people gamed them that way. You can still rate people, you just don't get paid to do so anymore. This makes them more meaningful and closer to their original purpose. I still think that they are pretty ueless tho, and would love to see a complete overhaul of the ratings system.
