Hey everyone, just a quick question from a new guy: can I move or delete trees from a plot of land I purchase so I can build a structure there?

Also, how do I find out if there are any strange building obstacles to a parcel of land...things that a newbie wouldn't know to look for?

thanks a ton,

Forest

You can remove all the trees that are placed on your land by default by right clicking your land, selecting "About Land" then going to the "Objects" tab, and hit the "Return Objects" button for "Objects owned by others". The trees are usually placed origianally under governer Lindens name, and pressing that button will wipe them off your land. the rest of your tools for controlling your land will be on that menu, and also under the "Edit Land" option when you right click.

Wait.... 1st hold an event on your land saying that your hosting a Peace Rally or something. Make sure all the tree huggers show up, then click "Return Objects".

I mean hell, if your gonna do it anyways, might as well have some fun. LOL

Thanks, guys. I don't want to delete all of them...just enough to build a modest structure.
I suppose that once I delete govenor linden's trees, they're gone for good, yes? Or can I copy one and put it in other locations on my land?

Your help is much appreciated, my friends.

cheers,

The trees and plants are all in your inventory under "library" in the objects and landscaping section, you can pull them out and rez them any time. They rez up in the air and need pulling down.

You can click on land you own and select edit and create and rez them too, but then they just randomly go through the list in serial fashion, like snow, pine, palm, etc. so that's a nuisance, use the library or get the free Boardman Landscaping Kit in Boardman or Brown and pull the plants, planters, benches etc. out of there.
