This is a quick way to fix the market, set L$250 per $1USD. That way there's no up and downs in the market and everyone gets the same! It may take a day or so for the market to chew through to get to your sell order but who cares, what's one day? If you're worried about land tier, sell 1 or 2 days ahead.

First of all there is over 29M on the market right now that is 250 or more, with an average of 8M sold a day, you are looking at about 4 days of lag. Every day ~8M more L$ is listed. So that will continue to be a 4 day lag. Now if prices go up, more people will want to sell. Also higher prices mean less people will be buying. So the amount that is listed per day will be now greater then the amount sold. The lag time will build until you have to list months ahead of time.
Oh and that is not counting all the other exchanges that will pop up giving cheaper prices for the sale today. _____________________

here is why your idea is non functional: i will use ebay and jauani.com to sell my L$ for 251L$/usd. suddenly the line up at your bank just got shorter. That is ok, I will then go at 252L$/USD, now both lines are shorter. _____________________

If you were entirely genuine about ending the free market - you wouldn't be suggesting 250
It's been my experience that those that enjoy the concept of the 'free market' ballyhoo it the most when it's making them money - and are the first to wail like banshees about how terrible it is when the tide slips towards the buyer  If you truely beleived in what you were wanting - any figure would be good - preferably one that was easy to calculate... 1000 L$ for a buck anyone? _____________________
