If someone were to steal your password and try and drain your bank account, you would suddenly be very glad of that $2000 limit :)

Why can't you just be grateful that you have the ability to withdraw *any* cash? Most games don't have that ability.

I wouldn't worry too much about the $2000 limit, most people don't even withdraw $2 a month.

Why not explore and have fun, as a new player, instead of getting bogged down in the "money making" swamp so quickly?

The $2000.00 limit is there for fraud reasons - you can up your limit by following the instructions on this page.

If, of course, you can demonstrate a need to. I'd guess 95% or more of the active playerbase wouldn't ever need to even contemplate "upping their limit".

Most games have a team of professional developers that are able to withdraw cash in the form of a paycheque.....

Yes but remember we aren't hired by Linden Lab to build stuff for their game.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm here creating stuff for the pure pleasure of it, and hoping that others can get benefit from it as well. If, at some point, I happen to make enough to actually obtain real cash, then that is purely a bonus, not part of the reason for being here.

Very few people here could class themselves as "professional" in the context that a real games company would hire them under. Most of us are merely talented in one way or another and are grateful for the opportunity to use SL's in-game tools to express that.

I wonder sometimes about the logic of LL's "resident created world" policy, and whether they ought to perhaps have some - or more - people on their paid staff who work daily with the in-game tools to create some things so that not only is there official, high quality stuff around so that people always have safe "Linden Land" to explore without having to resort to trawling through clubs, *ingo and dance pads/camping chairs in the vague hope of finding something to do.

I know I'm capable of a lot more than my budget allows, and given a free rein could do plenty of a non-commercial nature for people to enjoy - and I'm quite sure I'm not alone there either.

No, you pay LL for the pleasure of making stuff for their game. And in return for your money and hard work, they allow you to gain financially from your fellow players.

Oh yeah, and they take 3.5% every time you do....

Cute. Two brand new accounts, who've already made enough not only to cash out, have waited 5 days for their money already, are concerned about $2000 limits, and remember the good ol' days when it used to take 1-2 days... so they've already made enough to do this at least a few times over. You should just be leaving the box-on-your-head stage.

The fact that you responded is also a bit of a giveaway.

Like I said, I love it when two alts get together.

It's just so romantic.

I would like to transfer L$ to my PayPal account. I've already update my billing information by choosing the "Continue to PayPal" button, and also finished the "Preapproved Payments" in PayPal. After that, I still can't transfer US$ to my PayPal account. Can anyone know how to solve this?

Because weather you agree with it or not, sl is a job for some people, and you should be happy some people have found a way to make something they love, there job as well. I'm starting to notice that forumns are becoming less about valuable information and more about people belittling others for the hell of it.

Look at your $US balance on your account page. If you have money, hit the PROCESS CREDIT link next to the balance. That's it!
I've always been a premium memeber, so I'm not sure if there are limitations on withdrawals by other types of members. Maybe somebody can fill in those blanks.
Peace,
-Hunter
